Love bicycling, but need more storage or hauling capability? Art Car artist Kenny Browning to the rescue! Kenny will show you different trailer designs, assist in your design and help you develop a materials list. Prefer a cooler or insulated trailer? Kenny can help with that too! Come with your ideas and Kenny will help you turn them into an executable design. Kenny will tell you where you can acquire the materials for your trailer and you may come back for the Metals Workday on 4/5 to complete your trailer with assistance. Already have a design and a beginning base and materials? (Check craigslist for used bike trailers to use as a base) Bring them with you and you'll go home with a completed trailer! Metal Shop and Materials Fees may apply.

Welding is a very useful skill yet many find it intimidating. This class will eliminate the fear factor in a hands-on environment geared toward creating artistic pieces. You will learn basic metal fabrication techniques and use of equipment such as MIG welders, grinders, chop saws, and other metal-working tools – everything you need to learn to build your own sculpture. You can choose to make artwork for your yard or an African mask-style wall sculpture. Materials will be steel and/or found metal. Safety instruction and safety gear included.

Learn to build a base and apply fabric or to mold foam to create a form that will transform any item - bike, costume, mannequin - you name it! Or create a totally new form or sculpture. Falon Mahalic, a long-term bike afficianado will teach you the skills to create any form you can imagine.

Learn how to yarnbomb anything - your bike, car, lamppost, mailbox - you name it you can create a yarnstorm. Artist Joe Haden will be joined by Bill Davenport, the "godfather" of yarnbombing. They have yarnbombed bikes, art cars, tea kettles, lampposts and a few things they haven't told us about. It's a simple quick way to decorate just about anything! Bring along an object you'd like to cover and Joe and Bill will step you through the process. Knitting skills not necessary. $2-$10 materials fee.
